Role Summary
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will oversee all financial operations and serve as a key strategic partner on the executive team. In our fast-paced environment, you will manage cash flow, support data-driven decisions around user growth and creator incentives, optimize advertising revenue, and help navigate Japan’s regulatory and tax environment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone ready to grow into (or already experienced as) a CFO in a dynamic digital platform.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning

Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting with focus on user metrics, engagement, ad revenue, and creator payouts.
Build simple yet effective models for user acquisition costs, retention, and monetization performance.
Provide insights on pricing, advertising strategies, and creator incentive programs.

Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

Oversee day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
Ensure compliance with Japanese tax rules, consumption tax, and basic regulatory requirements for digital platforms.
Prepare clear financial reports and dashboards for the CEO, board, and investors.

Treasury, Cash Flow & Risk Management

Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital in a high-growth environment with variable ad revenue and creator payments.
Handle basic treasury tasks and monitor foreign exchange risks from international creators or ad partners.
Identify and help mitigate key financial and operational risks.

Business Partnering & Growth Support

Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Creator teams to analyze ROI on user growth campaigns, creator programs, and ad performance.
Support strategic decisions with clear financial data and recommendations.
Assist with fundraising preparation, investor updates, and potential partnerships or expansions.

Team Leadership & Operations

Build and mentor a small finance team (accounting + FP&A) as the company grows.
Improve finance processes, tools, and automation to keep up with rapid scaling.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience: 7–12+ years in finance roles, with at least 2–3 years in a senior finance leadership position (Finance Director, VP Finance, Head of Finance, or equivalent). Experience in tech, digital media, social platforms, advertising, or creator economy companies is a strong plus, but not mandatory.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. MBA or professional certifications (CPA, USCPA, etc.) are welcomed but not required.
Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, cash flow management, and basic data analysis. Familiarity with digital revenue models (advertising, creator payouts) is advantageous. Experience with common finance tools and ERP systems.
Language: Business-level Japanese and English (necessary for Tokyo operations and occasional international discussions).
Location: Based in Tokyo or willing to relocate.

We are flexible — candidates with slightly less experience but strong potential and relevant background in fast-growing companies will be seriously considered.

資金管理・キャッシュフロー・リスク管理

高成長環境におけるキャッシュフロー、流動性、運転資金の管理（変動しやすい広告収益とクリエイター支払いに対応）

応募要件・経験
経験
財務関連で7〜12年以上の実務経験があり、そのうち少なくとも2〜3年のシニア財務リーダー経験（財務部長、VP Finance、Head of Financeなど相当）をお持ちの方。

テック、デジタルメディア、ソーシャルプラットフォーム、広告、クリエイター経済関連の経験は大きなプラスですが、必須ではありません。グローバル展開や国際財務の経験があると尚歓迎です。

学歴・資格
会計・財務・経営学部卒以上。
MBAや公認会計士（CPA、USCPA等）の資格は歓迎ですが、必須ではありません。
技術スキル
